What is FLEXspace?
What is FLEXspace? The Flexible Learning Environments eXchange – FLEXspace – is a searchable, open access repository of images with detailed attributes of learning environments. FLEXspace enables faculty, technology integrators and facilities designers to contribute and view examples of innovative spaces from around the globe. The FLEXspace community includes scholars, academic technology leaders and campus buyers, designers, managers, faculty, and others tasked with design, implementation and assessment of campus learning spaces.

- Sponsor Webpage. Platinum sponsors have their own webpage on FLEXspace.org, listed in the website’s main navigation, where they may highlight products and services, post articles, case studies, images, links, etc.
- Inclusion in the Photo Gallery. Sponsors can showcase an image or logo on the main page in the photo gallery, which links to their own webpage.
- Access to the FLEXspace Blog. Sponsors may contribute to the FLEXspace.org Website blog. Select blog postings, based on sponsorship level, will appear on the FLEXspace Portal landing page.

Access to the view the complete FLEXspace design repository
Sponsors receive credentials to browse and view all entries in the FLEXspace repository. These credentials may be shared with multiple members of the sponsor’s organization.
Access to upload records to the FLEXspace design repository
- Sponsor Collection. Platinum sponsors will have their own collection of records where they can showcase an unlimited number of images, documents, whitepapers, flyers, line drawings, case studies, etc. This collection is listed, and linked, on the repository landing page in multiple places.
- Sponsor Image Groups. Platinum sponsors will have the ability to create image groups – a subset of records from any collection. That means the sponsor could create an image group containing records from their Sponsor Collection, plus records from the FLEXspace Collection. When a user browses image groups—by either clicking the “Image Groups & Folders” in the middle of the homepage or going to the “Find” menu—they will see the sponsor image groups mixed in with the others. These image groups can also be linked to from their Sponsor Page on the FLEXspace.org Website.
Real-time analytics and quarterly reports regarding FLEXspace repository records and user trends
- Real-time Analytics to explore any number of characteristics of the repository entries such the number and type sample record has been viewed or downloaded, the most active users of the repository, and other valuable
- Report-based Analytics will provide sponsors with quarterly, standardize reports highlighting a variety of characteristics of the FLEXspace repository such as the number of records added, the source of those records, the types of space featured in new and existing design samples, sponsor products detailed in design samples, and other valuable statistics about repository
FLEXspace User Polling
Sponsors will have the opportunity to launch regular polls to collect user input on topics of interest to both the sponsors and the academic community as a whole. For example, sponsors may want to know how many new or rehabilitated instructional spaces are currently in design at a user’s institution or how many institutions are designing instructional spaces to accommodate multiple displays.
Sponsor Webinars
Shared or exclusive sponsor webinars will allow FLEXspace to promote a monthly webinar on a topic of interest to the learning space design community, hosted and conducted by a sponsor. Sponsors may choose to conduct the webinar themselves, or partner with an academic user whose designs are featured in FLEXspace.
Membership on the FLEXspace Industry Advisory Council (IAC)
Sponsors on the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) will be responsible for advising the FLEXspace Board on ways to enhance and improve its collective value, opportunities to promote greater use of FLEXspace in the academic and non-profit communities, and ways that sponsorship opportunities can be enhanced to provide greater value for sponsors.
Acknowledgement at Presentations and Events
Sponsors will receive recognition by the FLEXspace core team during regularly delivered workshops and presentations at state, regional, and national conferences, onsite and online, to promote the FLEXspace repository. The sponsor will be promoted through FLEXspace presentation slide decks, including acknowledgement as a level sponsor, a listing of the sponsor’s name and logo/tagline, and listed in the reference slide that could contain a URL. These slide decks will be viewed during the live event, and could be distributed as a handout or an archived session recording.
Print collateral. As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to highlight your products, services, or brand in our glossy printed card that is distributed at FLEXspace live events, including conference presentations, meetings, and demos. Here’s an example of sponsorship areas on the flyer. Your organization would be responsible for supplying the artwork and copy for the flyer.
