Baker Systems

This room and one other are part of the Innovative Spaces Program (http://u.osu.edu/innovativespaces/), which is a collaboration between the Office of Distance Education and eLearning, Office of the University Registrar, and University Center for the Advancement of Teaching. By providing targeted access to spaces designed for active learning, this program encourages greater focus on active learning pedagogy and more deliberate utilization of physical spaces. School of Population and Public Health

This room was challenging to design, being in the basement and having low ceilings. The shape of the room was also a challenge as it was wide and narrow. Because of the low ceilings, tiers were not an option so instead tables of differing heights were used to improve sight lines. A short throw projector was used, which projects onto a wall that doubles as a writing surface (whiteboard).
