The classrooms in the Global and International Studies building were intentionally designed for active learning. This was the first building on the campus where every room was designed for active learning.
The classroom was our first design that incorporated an interactive touch video wall and wireless screen sharing. This classroom was meant to be a showcase classroom in the new University Hall building. We added glass to each side of the classroom to the hall for natural lighting and to showcase the space.
The Collaborative Computer Classroom features seven group tables with touch-screen collaboration monitors. The interconnected tables link to a classroom group display, and instructors are able to share content to each table. They can also select student work to share to the large display.
