J. Paul Leonard Library

This is a conference room. This is a flexible space located in the main library on campus that can seat 40-75 people, depending on the furniture configuration. Equipped with two screens, two projection systems, an automated Session Capture appliance, and a fixed camera and confidence monitor, it serves as a multipurpose room appropriate for meetings, seminars, trainings, student and guest speaker presentations, and faculty development workshops. The furniture is flexible because the tables and chairs are on wheels and can be flipped and stored off to the side.

Academic Services

This room is considered an active learning classroom supporting inquiry-based and collaborative learning. It is a university scheduled classroom and priority is given to science and math courses. However, many humanities and social science courses are being taught in the room as well. This was a standard lecture room with 55 seats, and per CSU system requirements we kept the 55 seats in the current table seating set up. Two pillars in the middle of the room created challenges for the room redesign, so the tables/seats were adjusted to accommodate for the spacing.
