Space Overview
Smith Hall is a 1913 unreinforced masonry Neoclassical building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2019, the building was completely modernized while preserving its historical elements. The modernization included making the building completely accessible (with the addition of an elevator) and seismic. electrical, mechanical, and data systems upgrades. The classrooms were upgraded to include the latest HyFlex PTZ cameras and ceiling-mounted microphones for seamless in-person and remote participants to join class meetings. The triple-height windows were fitted with powered filtering and darkening shades for complete classroom control from the instructor's station.
